Season 2 of SYFY’s Superman prequel series Krypton is going even heavier on the DC Comics guest stars, as the new trailer features Lobo as well as Doomsday, and returning baddies Zod and Brainiac. Joaquin Phoenix reveals how he created his laugh for Joker, and the inspiration he drew from. Warner Bros. and DC Films are stepping outside of their shared universe to bring a different type of movie based on comic book characters to the screen. Joker will be an origin story for the Clown Prince of Crime, with Phoenix portraying the iconic Batman foe. Joker is written and directed by Todd Phillips, who’s been allowed to take liberties with the character thanks to the film’s standalone status....

Scheduled to hit theaters in late March, Us is one of 2019’s most anticipated titles, as cinephiles can’t wait to see what Peele does for his second directorial effort. In 2017, he took the film industry by storm with Get Out, a terrifying and entertaining exploration of racism in America that did extremely well at the box office and earned a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars....

Softbank (in blue, above) in Japan has had a monopoly on the iPhone for the past three years in the world’s third largest economy. However, with the release of next iPhone, KDDI/au will carry the device. Both carriers still trail behind the leader NTT, as you can see in the un-translated image above. According to the report, the iPhone will hit HDDI/au shops in November, a little later than the US expects to see them....

If comic book fans are hungry for more Jonathan Hickman in the wake of his massive relaunch of the X-Men, they just might get their wish. The writer will also be penning an epic science fiction comic from Image entitled Decorum, featuring art from Mike Huddleston. While details are sparse about the new Decorum series itself, it will definitely make use of Hickman’s perchance for world-building and epic storytelling. The press release does explain the series will center around the most “well-mannered” assassin in the known universe....

A brief glimpse at a cave painting in Godzilla: King of the Monsters proves that Godzilla and Kong have fought each other before - or, at least, Godzilla fought one of Kong’s ancestors - which means that the Godzilla vs. Kong movie is a rematch. Though Godzilla and Kong have fought once before in the 1962 Toho movie King Kong vs. Godzilla, the upcoming film from Legendary is expected to feature their first meeting in the MonsterVerse....
