The Joker is making his return to the world of Batman comics in a major way, but it looks like his new girlfriend ‘Punchline’ is going to make even bigger waves, now that official details and artwork have been offered by DC Comics. Current Batman writer James Tynion IV previously teased the arrival of Joker’s new henchwoman Punchline, teasing fans with nothing but questions. Without clarifying when she would be making her debut, what role she would have in the coming Joker War story, or even her explicit connection to the clown prince, fans were left on the hook....

Snapchat has apologized for releasing a Juneteenth filter which asked people to ‘smile to break the chains of slavery’ after it was met with widespread criticism and ridicule. However, the company has since taken issue with one specific claim … Many Twitter users observed that the company had clearly failed to run the idea past any of its black employees. Interest in the much-debated Justice League Snyder Cut continues to climb by the day, with Zack Snyder now releasing a new image of Aquaman at Superman’s grave. Snyder departed the movie due to a family tragedy, with Justice League being subject to massive reshoots that took the film in a drastically different direction from his original plan. Since then, the grassroots campaign to persuade Warner Bros. to release Snyder’s original cut of the movie has been complimented with a growing number of cast and crew members making their support for it known, while Snyder himself has done plenty to drive up demand for it by releasing images and storyboards from his cut on social media....

Actor Keanu Reeves suggests that he’s ready for more John Wick movies if there’s a demand from fans. Created by Derek Kolstad, the action franchise kicked off in 2014, and has extended into video games and television. In a recent interview, Keeves discussed his career and the upcoming film John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. In 2014, Summit Entertainment released John Wick, a neo-noir action thriller directed by Chad Stahelski. Reeves portrays the title character, a former hitman trying to cope with his wife’s recent death....

KGI remains very bullish on the uptake of Apple’s truly wireless AirPods earbuds ($159: eBay, Best Buy). In a new report published today, Ming-Chi Kuo says that he expects Apple to double shipments of the AirPods in 2018. This would equate to shipments in the range of 26-28 million units. AirPods have been supply constrained since their introduction in December 2016. Only in the last few weeks has availability improved to the point where the Apple Online Store reports 1-3 day delivery estimates....

Warner Bros. finally issues an official response to the ongoing backlash against the violence found in Joaquin Phoenix’s standalone DC movie Joker. When a Joker origin movie was first announced, many fans were skeptical. After all, one of the Joker’s calling cards in many of his incarnations is just how mysterious his personal background tends to be. Some wondered if delving into his past would serve to demystify the character, but the confirmation that Joker wouldn’t be connected to the DCEU at large helped assuage that worry....

Julianne Hough supports Gabrielle Union’s meeting with America’s Got Talent and NBC executives. Hough broke her silence about their controversial firing in series of interviews this week. After being let go during their inaugural season as judges on the hit show, Hough and Union went their separate ways. A new image from the Snyder Cut of Justice League shows Darkseid fighting Ares’ Army of Men in his original attempt to conquer Earth. This re-issued version of Contra also includes new levels, an improved control system and in-game weapon shop. Update (6/3): We have been told that the release of ‘Contra Evolution’ on the US App Store was a mistake. Konami is currently developing a US version of this game that will be released later this year....

A new report from reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo today reiterated expectations for the next-gen iPhone SE. Kuo believes the two big upgrades will be 5G and an upgraded processor, with the new entry-level iPhone coming in 1H 2022. Kuo first predicted the new iPhone SE would arrive in 2022 back in March. The same expectation was reiterated today for that to arrive in the first half of next year....

Karl Urban has vocalized his support for a Quentin Tarantino directed Star Trek movie. Previously, Urban played Leonard “Bones” McCoy in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek franchise, which had its fourth installment recently shelved for a number of reasons. Apple is facing an increasing number of lawsuits centered around allegations that it is responsible for accidents caused by users who are driving while distracted by their smartphone. One case, however, as reported by Law360, has been thrown out by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Maureen A. Folan… The case was brought to court by David Riggs, whose son was killed in 2013 when he was hit by a driver who was texting....

Raylan Givens may be the star of the neo-Western series Justified, but Boyd Crowder, the show’s villain, certainly steals more than a few scenes. The show follows Raylan, a U.S. Marshal, who returns to his hometown of Kentucky to take on the local criminal element. Boyd, a man Raylan used to work with, proves to be his main target. Though a relatively small-time criminal, Boyd has big ambitions and won’t let too many people stand in his way....

KGI Securities is out today with a new report analyzing the future of Apple’s biometric technologies, specifically in the 2018 iPhones. Ming-Chi Kuo explains that under-display fingerprint technology still presents a technological hurdle for Apple, with it being more likely that the company invests more in Face ID… Kuo says that, if Face ID is well-received by consumers when the iPhone X launches later this year, then Apple will likely adopt a TrueDepth front-facing camera and Face ID across all iPhone models....
