Having just followed that up with the - according to some - even better sequel John Wick: Chapter 2, Reeves is now firmly planted back near the top of Hollywood, and can likely do whatever project he wants at this point....

Developer Square Enix has announced the official title of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts mobile game - Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road. Details about the new game in the long-running series has been coming out fast, with the first tease of the new Kingdom Hearts game coming just a little more than a week ago. Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road is set to release in Spring 2020, according to Square Enix. Not much has been revealed about how the game will actually play, and based on previous Kingdom Hearts mobile games, it’s hard to predict....

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige almost quit due to conflicts with Marvel Entertainment chairman Ike Perlmutter, Disney CEO Bob Iger reveals. Before Feige gained autonomy managing the MCU, he was answering to Perlmutter. However, a series of unfortunate events, including very nearly resigning from his post, led to The Walt Disney Company CEO granting the producer extraordinaire creative and financial freedom from his former boss. Notoriously known to be a private person, Perlmutter became the chairman of Marvel in 2001 and then the chief executive officer of Marvel Comics in 2005....

A fresh report from Ming-Chi Kuo gives KGI’s take on the recent stories of poor market reception for HomePod. The report suggests that Apple could sell 2-2.5 million HomePods across all of 2018, with a million of those from first month pent-up demand. Most analysts have predicted sales for HomePod around ten million a year, so Kuo’s prediction is quite pessimistic. He says the high price has cut off a lot of the potential market (in the face of tough, cheaper, competition) and that Apple is ‘mulling’ a lower-cost model....

King Kong came roaring back to life in Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island, which easily topped the U.S. box office in its opening weekend with about $61 million. However, the film has quickly dropped off in subsequent weeks after its opening as the competition stiffened with the likes of Beauty and the Beast and Power Rangers crowding the field. With a MonsterVerse planned from Warner Bros. and Legendary, producers were likely hoping for more from Kong: Skull Island’s domestic box office numbers....

There is a tendency of casting stars in major comic book movie roles, but Joss Whedon doesn’t expect to follow that pattern with Batgirl. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has provided accurate Apple product information in the past (timing aside), has released a new research note predicting that supply constraints on key components may result in a serious delay in the release of the larger iPhone 6 model with a 5.5-inch display. According to the note, issues with the in-cell touch panel and coloring of the device could push the launch of the device back to a post-October date, possibly as late as next year:...

More than a decade ago, the reality TV star was Paris’ personal stylist. Writer-director Rian Johnson says he would love to do a Knives Out sequel with Daniel Craig. Knives Out is one of this Thanksgiving’s most anticipated releases after its screening at this year’s Toronto Film Festival earned a standing ovation and extremely positive reviews. It currently boasts a 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and the Knives Out box office projections are looking good. While on The Tonight Show, Kristen Bell and Jimmy Fallon sang a medley of Disney songs to celebrate the release of Frozen 2. Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, Frozen was released back in 2013 and went on to become a sensation. Not only did it garner a whopping $1.276 billion dollars at the box office, but it even went on to win Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards, so it came as no surprise when a sequel to the film was officially announced....

Hollywood simply refuses to let a franchise die. Despite two failed attempts at Jurassic Park sequels, Universal decided to reboot the series with the fourth installment in 2015. Jurassic World began with an interesting set up – a fully functional dinosaur park – but it didn’t take long before it devolved into another generic Jurassic sequel with another generic message about the military-industrial complex. Then, the sequel brought a “haunted house” plot to the proceedings....

The debate around the Snyder Cut of Justice League continues to rage, particularly when it comes to the movie’s level of completion and how much it’ll cost to finish. The campaign to see it released recently launched an initiative at SDCC including billboards and an airplane banner along with nearly $15,000 (half of the campaign contributions) going to the Association for Suicide Prevention, bringing the total amount donated to the organization by Snyder fans to over $100,000....
