Apple is apparently set to ditch the butterfly mechanism used in MacBooks since 2015, which has been the root of reliability issues and its low-travel design has also not been popular with many Mac users. The planned appearance of Martian Manhunter in the “Snyder Cut” of Justice League gives a new twist to General Swanwick’s scenes in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While Harry Lennix portrayed the role of General Swanwick in both films, Snyder has unveiled via social media that Swanwick had actually been Martian Manhunter in disguise, a revelation intended for his original version of Justice League. A new report from KGI out today predicts iPad sales this year will drop by around 30% marking the biggest decline in the history of the device. That 30% decline year over year compared to 2014 means KGI predicts Apple will sell 44-45 million units during 2015. The decline in iPad sales has already started, according to estimates from KGI, with the firm predicting shipments in Q1 and Q2 of this year will drop by over 50%....

AAPL stock is down slightly today due to a report from Digitimes that Apple has asked suppliers to slow down delivery of iPhone X components, and investor fears that iPhone 8 demand is weak. On the other side of the spectrum, KGI today says that iPhone X demand could reach 40-50 million units due to strong interest … Digitimes says that suppliers are only shipping about 40% of the volume originally planned for iPhone X production....

Kingdom Hearts 3 has an ending that may leave newcomers feeling a little confused. Kong: Skull Island won’t be Hollywood’s first attempt to retell the story of King Kong, but it may be the most inventive take on the classic movie monster. KGI Research’s Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the few analyst/firms with a respectable record on Apple forecasts, updated its iPhone sales expectation numbers this weekend for the holiday quarter and Q1 of 2015. Kuo notes that the iPhone 5c and 4s which are still sold in emerging markets [like Virgin Mobile in the US?!] will be discontinued in 2015 after promotions that ironically will improve low end sales numbers in Q1 2015....
