New concept art for Justice League reveals an Apokolips pilot that was originally supposed to appear in the film. While Marvel started out their cinematic universe with solo movies leading up to the big team-up film The Avengers in 2012, DC seemed to take a different approach and released Justice League after only introducing Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Besides Warner Bros. seemingly rushing into their big team-up film, the production of Justice League also had a lot of troubles....

KGI is out with a new report today predicting both a large rise in the number of Touch ID sensors shipped this year as well as an improved version of the biometric security reader for the next version of the iPhone. “We raise our 2015F shipments of Touch ID (fingerprint recognition) module by 12.4% to 262mn sets, up 77% YoY.” As for the updated Touch ID sensor, the improved version is believed to offer more reliable reads and better security as Apple continues to push Apple Pay, it’s recently launched mobile payment service:...

As shared in a research note, TF Securities Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple system-in-package partners to ramp up production of the ultra-wide band ‘AirTags’ in the second or third quarter of this year. Kuo says that the supply chain will be producing tens of millions of units by the end of the year. Claiming Samsung copied the iPad’s design, Apple has successfully achieved their mission in getting an Australian judge to block Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 from being sold in Australia, reports Sydney Morning Herald. Apple says that Samsung is infringing on two patents, and the judge ruled until changes are made the Galaxy Tab 10.1 can’t be sold from this point on. Apple and Samsung have current litigation continuing over in Europe and the United States....

Martin Hajek iPhone 8 Concept Reports of delays and production difficulties have been plentiful for the iPhone 8, and it doesn’t seem like things are going to get much better. KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo is out with a new report this evening in which he says that there’s a “rising probability” of the “worst scenario” for production and shipments of the device… In a note released to analysts today, Kuo explains that Apple is still facing production difficulties with the iPhone 8 due to the “major hardware upgrades....

Rian Johnson’s murder mystery Knives Out is now in theaters, and as the circumstances of Harlan Thrombey’s death are unravelled, audiences get to meet the entire Thrombey clan. From Harlan’s son Walt to his sponging daughter-in-law Joni, the Thrombeys are a pretty nasty bunch - and Johnson has now revealed that Harlan’s kids and their spouses are all named after ’70s rock stars. The Trump executive order banning US companies from having a business relationship with WeChat has many ramifications, and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is concerned that the hit to iPhone sales will be significant. If the order is implemented in full, it would see WeChat being removed from the App Store worldwide. WeChat is a critically important app for the Chinese market and if it’s no longer available on iOS, iPhone sales could decline by as much as 30%....

Korea Times is claiming that a deal has been struck with Apple for Samsung to supply 80% of the chips for next year’s iPhones and iPads, with TSMC picking up the balance of orders. The paper suggests that Samsung will split production of the A9 chip across its Korean and Texas plants, partnering with New York-based GlobalFoundries for additional capacity … Samsung Electronics agreed with Apple to produce application processors (APs) from next year for iPhones and iPads, sources said Monday....
