John Gruber described it best at the time as a “fast-paced solo version of Scrabble.” Recently, YouTuber DankPods shared a look at a variety of old iPod Touch prototypes from the late 2000s and early 2010s. In the video, DankPods looks at a bunch of internal Apple apps, and one of them happens to play like Kocienda’s game, almost to a T....

Jon Favreau reveals he wants to direct a season 2 episode of The Mandalorian. In just a couple of months, Star Wars makes its long-awaited debut on live-action TV via the Disney+ series (which Favreau executive produced). Set during the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, The Mandalorian takes viewers through the seedy galactic underworld, where mercenaries and scoundrels fend for themselves in a lawless time. The show is even going to get into the origins of the First Order, specifically how the chaotic state of the galaxy led to their rise....

Apple design head Jony Ive has given the opening interview at the first Condé Nast International Luxury Conference, in which he justified the concept of a mass-produced Apple Watch as worthy of the label ‘craftsmanship.’ Newson echoed this comment, reports Vogue, saying that machines are simply tools, much like a craftsman making a hand-made product might use a drill … It’s not so much about things being touched personally – there are many ways to craft something....

Khloé Kardashian is concerned about her ex-boyfriend French Montana amid reports of his hospitalization for cardiac problems. The two dated for about a year, and have remained close friends since their breakup. Montana was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital after complaining of nausea, stomach pains, and an elevated heart rate. The 35-year-old rapper was set to be released Friday, but when his symptoms persisted, doctors thought it best to keep him admitted for continued observation....

Villanelle, the unhinged assassin at the center of BBC America’s hit Killing Eve takes center stage in the final trailer ahead of the season 2 premiere. The series about obsession has built an obsessive following of its own, becoming one of the rare television shows that actually managed to grow its audience over the course of its first season. That success inevitably translated into awards consideration, as series co-star Sandra Oh netted an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe win for her portrayal of the equally obsessed Eve Polastri, an intelligence agent who winds up in the midst of an entertaining (for the viewer, anyway) psychosexual drama with a remorseless killing machine....

Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker doesn’t set up a sequel, but if one does happen, what could it be about and when would it hit theaters? Discussions of a sequel are currently a bit premature, but with Joker now out in theaters (and doing well at the box office), it may only be a matter of time before they become more realistic. This is the result of the work by director Todd Phillips and Phoenix’s awards-worthy leading performance generating plenty of interest in the Joker origin movie....

One of iOS 12‘s headline features is Screen Time, which allows iPhone owners to limit the amount of time they spend using their devices on an app-by-app basis. Reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has an update to the recent LTE Apple Watch report that includes a few details about what to expect. Kevin Feige debunks rumors suggesting the Black Widow solo movie would be R-rated. Nearly a decade after her introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Natasha Romanoff is finally going to be the subject of her own standalone vehicle. Marvel Studios started to make progress on the film last year, hiring Cate Shortland to direct and more recently bringing in Ned Benson to handle script rewrites. Though Black Widow has not been officially dated on the MCU’s post-Endgame slate, it’s expected to begin shooting this summer ahead of a tentative 2020 premiere....
