In 2010, the New England Patriots drafted two All-American tight ends, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. But whereas the former acclimated to coach Bill Belichick’s highly-successful system, the latter became known for his off-the-field problems; issues that seemingly began while playing at the University of Florida....

The psychological horror movie Us wins big at the the 51st NAACP Image Awards, with Jordan Peele and actress Lupita Nyong’o receiving top awards. Us was written and directed by Peele, as his followup to the massively successful Get Out. Released in March 2019, the film followed a family of four who are attacked by doppelgängers during a trip to the beach. Us was received positively by critics, who praised the film for its screenplay and direction....

DC has released the trailer for Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, the upcoming animated film pitting many DC characters against the forces of Darkseid. The previous Justice League Dark film released in 2017 and received positive reviews. It is part of the larger DC Animated Universe that began in 2013’s Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and continues to this day. DC has been releasing original animated films since 2007, with Superman: Doomsday....

Kanye West, who previously said that his Life of Pablo album would “never never be on Apple” appears to have partially changed his mind, Pitchfork noting that the ‘Famous’ track from the album is now available on Apple Music. West’s previous tweet was one of a series that made for entertaining reading, the rapper also begging for $1B investment in “Kanye ideas” and claiming to be $53M in debt. The version available in Apple Music does have one changed lyric, “she in school to be a real estate agent” replacing “she be Puerto Rican day parade wavin’....

Respected analyst Ming Chi-Kuo from KGI Securities has this evening issued an investor note in which he predicts sales for Apple’s latest tablet, iPad Pro. Kuo predicts in his note that Apple will sell between 2.4 million and 2.6 million iPad Pro units in the fourth quarter of 2015. As we head into 2016, Kuo expects those numbers to slide slightly to between 2.1 million units and 2.3 million units....

Kickstarter: Today Kickstarter announced that it is finally launching an official app for iPhone and iPod touch. The app provides users with the majority of features accessible through the website including the ability to find, filter, and back projects, watch project videos, follow and keep up with projects in an always up-to-date Activity tab, and receive notifications when someone backs or launches a project. The app also includes creator tools such as a feature to “take pictures and videos with their iPhone camera and post them as project updates straight from the app....

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is heaping high praise upon the impressive cast assembled for the upcoming MCU superhero adventure Black Panther. A lot of great stories have emerged from cast and crew members from the MCU in the past couple of weeks via the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 junket as well as a visit by journalists to Marvel Studios. A lot of attention was paid, naturally, to the future of Guardians as well as Avengers: Infinity War, but not a whole lot of word surfaced about the February 2018 release of the Black Panther, except that Marvel screened some early footage of the solo movie starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular character....

KFC is apparently working on a Colonel Sanders dating simulator game - I Love You Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator, to be exact - in collaboration with developer Psyop, according to a Steam listing that went live earlier today. Dating simulator games are a popular genre on the digital distribution platform, often performing above expectation due to cultivating a fanbase that is hungry for more romance content....

KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo issued an AAPL investor report this morning that is mostly pessimistic on Apple’s prospects of meaningfully increasing iPhone and iPad sales in the first half of the year. The Taiwan-based investment analyst doesn’t see an upside to the release of the iPhone 5se or iPad Air 3 later this quarter, sees meaningful slowing in YoY 6S/Plus sales and isn’t yet excited about the iPhone 7… Specifically, KGI reiterates its 4Q15 iPhone shipments forecast of 77M units, and forecasts 1Q16 shipments to decrease 44....

Though it has been a stellar year in film, Rian Johnson may have delivered the year’s most entertaining film with Knives Out. The movie pays homage to the classic murder mystery stories while completely flipping the genre on its head in exciting and unexpected ways. The movie follows a dysfunctional family whose matriarch dies the night of a family get-together and renowned detective Benoit Blanc arrives to investigate. While the movie successfully keeps you on the edge of your seat with suspense, it is also a surprisingly funny movie with some truly laugh-out-loud moments....

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out with a new investor note today focused on what to expect from Apple for the rest of this year. According to the analyst, we can expect six new Apple products with mini-LED, including a new 14.1-inch MacBook Pro. According to Kuo, the 14.1-inch MacBook Pro will replace the 13-inch model in Apple’s lineup. This comes after Apple replaced the 15-inch MacBook Pro with a 16-inch version last year....

Here’s what the mooted Justice League Dark deal between J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot production company and Warner Bros. could mean for DC, future releases and the studio. Fresh from dividing the Star Wars fandom with a film that was reportedly butchered in editing, renowned director and producer, J.J. Abrams, looks set to be turning his attentions towards the storied canon of DC comics. In June 2019, it was revealed that Abrams and Bad Robot were in final talks to sign a lucrative production deal with WarnerMedia that would encompass movies, TV, video games and more and, several months later, the two parties signed on the dotted line....

Which superhero movie will release first, the Snyder cut of Justice League or Disney’s much-delayed New Mutants? The production of Warner Bros.’ Justice League was not smooth, and after director, Zack Snyder, was forced to step down during the post-production phase, extensive reshoots began under the watchful eye of Joss Whedon, with the studio imposing their own ideas onto the project, morphing Snyder’s original vision into something entirely new. After Justice League attracted a lukewarm response, fans have been feverishly campaigning for the release of Snyder’s original cut....

An Apple patent application has described how transparent glass keycaps could be used to improve MacBook keyboard durability. Rather fittingly, given the unhappy history of the butterfly keyboard on MacBooks, the patent acknowledges the difficulties inherent in trying to design a keyboard that is both thin and durable… One perennial problem with keyboards is that printed keycaps tend to wear off over time. The patent application describes a way to completely avoid that by having inverted keyboard glyphs beneath the surface, so that light shines through the transparent surface....

In the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it seems Kourtney Kardashian was on the outs with sisters Kim and Khloé after being confronted that she has too many boundaries. The hit show has made its mark dominating the reality television landscape as the sisters have withstood 17 seasons together. On the recent promo for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloé Kardashian receives a massive pink diamond ring from ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson. After the very public cheating scandal, Tristian is doing anything he can to try to win back Khloé, including buying her expensive jewelry. NBA player Tristan and reality TV star Khloé, who started dating in 2016, share a daughter together - True Thompson. According to Mobile Magazine a Kinect-like gesture system for the iPad will be demoed in early January at CES 2011. Elliptic Labs is the company behind the technology and they specialize in “creating new and intuitive ways of interacting with computers.” For some time now the company has been working on a version of a Kinect-like gesture system for the iPad using a prototype tablet (video above). The technology behind the system sits in a special iPad dock and is ultrasound....
