In the original Captain America comics Peggy was a relatively minor character, retroactively depicted as Steve Rogers’ wartime love interest. His primary significant other in the present day actually was Sharon, with the pair having an on and off relationship over the years both professional and romantic, with Sharon being one of the first to know who was hidden under the star-spangled uniform....

Ming-Chi Kuo is out with an analyst note today looking at Huawei’s upcoming Mate 20 smartphones. While the report focuses on the Android smartphone manufacturer, Kuo believes Huawei is “narrowing the gap” in the user experience between itself and Apple with its new custom Kirin 980 chipset. Huawei wasn’t able to best Apple’s A11 Bionic last year with its custom built Kirin 960. But the company says it is “confident” that this year’s Kirin 980 will be more powerful than Apple’s A12 Bionic....

Kurt Russell says he would be willing to return as Mr. Nobody for Fast and Furious 9. Russell made his debut in the multi-billion dollar Fast and the Furious franchise in the seventh installment, Fast and Furious 7. The movie went on to gross over $1.5 billion worldwide, more than all the previous Fast and the Furious movies combined. Russell played the part of Mr. Nobody, a covert operations leader who helps Dom in his quest to stop Shaw, in return for Dom’s help in stopping Jakande from obtaining God’s Eye....

The Jordan Peele produced reboot of Candyman has found its title character in Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The Candyman first appeared in author Clive Barker’s short story The Forbidden, where a student researches an urban legend about a hook-handed killer on a housing estate and meets a bloody fate. Bernard Rose’s film adaptation Candyman relocated the story from the UK to Chicago and reimagined the waxy yellow killer of Barker’s story into the ghost of an artist who was brutally murdered in a racially motivated attack....

Keanu Reeves won’t be a Cyberpunk 2077 romance option, according to CD Projekt Red level designer Max Pears, who revealed that Johnny Silverhand wouldn’t be going on dates with players during an interview at the Tokyo Game Show 2019. Keanu Reeves has been a major boon to the Cyberpunk 2077 marketing campaign, as fans have fully embraced the actor’s involvement in the title, making him the subject of a number of wholesome memes that have also had the side effect of generating positive buzz for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming open-world sci-fi RPG....

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out tonight with a new investor note. Kuo explains that, despite initially believing Apple might readopt fingerprint technology, it’s now likely that all 2018 iPhone models will move to Face ID and leave Touch ID in the past… Kuo last month had issued a note in which he said the future of Face ID depended largely upon consumer reaction to the iPhone X. Tonight’s note, however, explains Apple is likely to go all-in on 3D sensing....

There have been reports that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her ex had reconciled, but Kardashian finally made it “photo-official.” She posted pics from her Christmas party, and among them was one with the Algerian model holding her in his arms. Bendjima and Kardashian started dating in 2017, shortly after her split from the father of her three kids, Scott Disick....

It’s revealed Johnny Depp allegedly tried to get former Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara to fire ex-wife Amber Heard from DC Films’ Aquaman. Released in December 2018, Aquaman co-stars Heard in the role of Mera, the princess of Xebel, one of the underwater kingdoms. Heard also appeared in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, where she made her debut as Mera, prior to co-starring in James Wan’s Aquaman alongside Jason Momoa. Heard was first cast in the role of Mera in early 2016....

Apple’s chief design officer Jony Ive today was awarded the Professor Hawking Fellowship by the Cambridge Union Society. Ive is the second ever recipient of the award, which was created last year to recognize contributions to STEM fields and social discourse. As noted by Varsity, Ive was announced as the recipient of the Professor Hawking Fellowship during a ceremony today at Cambridge Union. To choose this year’s Hawking Fellowship recipient, the Cambridge Union’s ‘Hawking Committee’ listed 14 prominent figures in STEM fields, then had three Cambridge academics rank each of them....
