The Knives Out CinemaCon footage offers a taste of writer/director Rian Johnson’s upcoming mystery-thriller. Before he goes back to the galaxy far, far away to oversee an all-new Star Wars trilogy, Johnson is returning to his filmmaking roots with an Agatha Christie-inspired whodunit crime film. Knives Out quickly came into fruition late last year and almost immediately attracted cinephiles’ attention due to its star-studded ensemble. Headlining the cast is a who’s who of A-listers including Daniel Craig, Lakeith Stanfield, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, and several others....

Knives Out writer/director Rian Johnson recently found out Alex Trebek enjoyed his movie and was overjoyed. Johnson’s Knives Out came out November of last year and stars Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas in the three principal roles, but involves a star studded ensemble cast as befits a return to the Clue style whodunnit murder mystery formula. Most people probably know Johnson’s work from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and perhaps Looper and would find the turn towards a classic murder mystery surprising, but he actually got his start with feature films writing and directing the neo-noir cult-hit Brick....

The matriarch of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris Jenner revealed she’s a new dog parent to a puppy. As it turned out, model and TV personality Chrissy Teigan got a new puppy too from the same litter. Back in September of 2019, Ellen Degeneres, the daytime talk show host revealed on her TV show The Ellen Show that she and her wife Portia de Rossi adopted a new adorable poodle....

Stars of Counting On, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson Duggar welcome home their first baby. They called her their “beautiful miracle” baby, after Lauren had suffered a miscarriage. Lauren was seen on the Duggar family’s reality TV show, 19 Kids and Counting back in 2010 for one episode when the Swanson, who had a large family of eight, visited the Duggars. The families knew one and other and that’s how Lauren and Josiah became acquainted....

Fox has pushed the release date for Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel, The King’s Man, back from February to September 2020. In the months since Disney finalized its purchase of Fox, the Mouse House has made several release date changes in order to avoid pitting the studio’s films against its own. As a result, a number of Fox projects have recently seen their release dates pushed back by as little as a few months (Spies in Disguise) to as much as 8-9 months (New Mutants)....

Thuzio was something of a personal mission for Barber, who watched a lot of his ex-colleagues, retired American football players, struggle to adapt to “civilian life” once left the sport for good. Joker has dropped below 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, losing its Certified Fresh status. The Joaquin Phoenix-starring film is one of the most talked about pictures of the year, and is on track to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie worldwide. Few movies release with the amount of mainstream attention Joker received. From theaters banning cosplay of the character, to reported police patrol in response to concerns of violence, there was plenty of controversy surrounding the film....

There is a large portion of the Joker movie that was cut during the editing process, as director Todd Phillips reveals there is over 30 minutes worth of footage that was removed from the film. Joker is shaping up to be one of the most controversial movies of 2019 and has already sparked a backlash due to its content, despite the fact that it hasn’t even been released yet. Joker is a departure from the recent movies based on DC Comics properties and it’s intended to be a standalone film, with no connection to the established DCEU....

The Joker’s new girlfriend Punchline hasn’t even made her official comic debut, however, the hype surrounding the character is huge. There has been little revealed about the character outside what she looks like and a tease of her first appearance. However, artist Jorge Jimenez dropped some interesting details about Punchline that make her the polar opposite of Joker’s former girlfriend Harley Quinn. Punchline, who was co-created by Jimenez and James Tynion IV, will make her debut in this week’s Batman #89....

Joss Whedon has responded to director Martin Scorsese’s comments about Marvel Studios’ movies. In an interview to promote his upcoming movie The Irishman, Scorsese claimed that Marvel movies are “not cinema”, which lead to a substantial amount of backlash online. People were quick to defend the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), including Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 filmmaker James Gunn. Whedon was heavily involved in the MCU during its early days....

After numerous small teases, a trailer for the popular Justice League fan edit project Justice League: Black Suit Edition is finally here. The trailer shows altered Justice League footage mixed in with a variety of other resources, from original effects by creator Chris Dawson and his small team to snippets of other movies mixed in to create something that looks and feels entirely new. After Zack Snyder was replaced by Joss Whedon as director of Justice League, the movie infamously went through substantial reshoots, drastically altering the film into a Frankenstein’s monster of a movie....

Kevin Smith says that production on Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will begin next week. The sequel to 2001’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back has been in the works for just over two years now, with the plot having recently been revealed by Smith and co-star Jason Mewes, and Saban films picking up the film’s North American distribution rights. The Jay and Silent Bob characters have been a major ongoing part of Smith’s filmmaking, with the pair having first been introduced in his 1994 debut Clerks....

Popular RPG Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic may be getting a new lease on life, if the Star Wars gaming rumor mill is to be believed. The original Knight of the Old Republic came out back in 2003; since then, there’s been a sequel titled Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and a MMORPG called Star Wars: The Old Republic. However, neither of those video games have proven to be as influential as the original Old Republic game before them....

Following a report from Bloomberg that said Apple would announce the transition to ARM Macs at WWDC tomorrow, respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is reporting his latest predictions for the ARM Mac lineup. Kuo believes that Apple will announce the first ARM processor at WWDC and that the first Mac models to feature ARM CPUs will be a next-generation 13.3-inch MacBook Pro and a new redesigned iMac. Kuo confirms that an all-new design iMac is launching imminently, and it will apparently be Apple’s last new Mac featuring an Intel CPU....
