Even though season 18 of Keeping up with the Kardashians isn’t here yet, the drama has already begun. According to the preview for next season, Kim Kardashian invited her sister Khloé Kardashian’s ex Tristan Thompson over for dinner.
Professional NBA basketball player, Tristian who is currently playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, is best known for his highly publicized relationship with Khloé. The two began dating in 2016 and by 2017 Khloé announced she was expecting a child with Tristan. During her pregnancy, there were rumors that Tristian had been unfaithful to Khloé. In 2018, she gave birth to their daughter, True Thompson. The two had reportedly been split up in the beginning of January 2019, but things in the media went crazy when Tristan reportedly hooked up with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods. This is when Tristan and Khloé were reported to officially have ended things.
In a preview for the new season of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kim called Khloé to let her know she would be having dinner with Tristan. The clip opens with Kim telling Khloé that Tristan called her after seeing Kim was at a hotel near him. She invited him to dinner and double-checked with Khloé to make sure the situation was okay with her. Khloé responded positively, saying, “I think you gotta do what’s best for you. If you want him to have a drink at the end there is nothing wrong with that.” Kim reassured Khloé, “I don’t think what Tristan did is obviously right… and I brutalized him." Check out the full clip below:
Kim expressed interest in keeping things cordial amongst their large family. Kim expressed, “I also know it’s True’s dad.” She also brought up the fact that their mother cheated on their father Robert Kardashian back in the day as an example, saying, “Like, mom cheated on dad and all their friends forgave mom.” Kim concluded, “I think forgiveness is like the best way.” The two ended the phone call there.
While it doesn’t look like Tristan and Khloé will get back together anytime soon, it looks like Tristan is making an effort to get along with the Kardashian-Jenner family, which will ultimately be best for his daughter. From Kim’s response, it also looks like the family is willing to give him a chance, very different from the brutal comments the Kardashians have given to him and Jordyn in the past.
