Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star and only brother Rob Kardashian has kept a pretty low profile as of late, but he’s slowly coming back out into the public eye. He was recently seen with mom Kris Jenner looking noticeably thinner and Jenner is hopeful he’ll be part of the annual Christmas card (and maybe even filming of the show).

Rob, the only son of Kris and Robert Kardashian, was part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians for many seasons before he slowly became seen less and less. After a very public and scandalous breakup with model and reality television star Blac Chyna, Rob took a step back from filming and choose to raise his daughter, Dream Kardashian, behind the scenes. During that time, Rob suffered from depression and began to gain weight. At his heaviest, he weighed 250 pounds and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. It was then that he decided to make some changes and better his healthy. This past Halloween, Rob posted his very first picture of himself in over a year to show off his Trolls-inspired costume, but his significant weight loss.

According to a source from HollywoodLife, Rob’s mother, Kris, is delighted to see her son out and about more frequently. The source said, “Kris has been worried for Rob for years. She’s been doing everything in her power to get him help always, the whole family has.” After being spotted at older sister, Kim Kardashian’s 39th birthday party, fans noticed he looked healthier and happier than ever.

With the holidays just around the corner, fans are wondering whether Rob will continue to stay in the limelight and take part in the annual Kardashian Christmas card. He has not been part of the holiday shoots in a few years, according to the source, it became something that caused a few disagreements amongst family members. The insider revealed, “Kris was so upset when Rob decided not to do Keeping Up and their big family holiday shoots anymore and they had several disagreements over it.” The source continued, “These are memories to have on film for Kris and she’s such a family person.” The source revealed that Kris  “would love to have him be a part of the family holiday card and even filming again this year.”

While Rob’s presence is certainly missed on the coveted reality series and in the iconic Kardashian Christmas cards - his hiatus is completely understood. Being raised in the public eye and the pressures that come with fame and fortune can be debilitating to the psyche. Rob has expressed before that he wants nothing more than to emulate the family man his father, famed attorney Robert Kardashian. Kris is certainly hopeful that her son will continue to be more social and possibly even rejoin filming of Keeping Up With The Kardashians with the rest of the family.
