Star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney Kardashian hosted the 2019 Christmas party for the Kardashian/ Jenner family. It was revealed that its estimated cost was around half a million dollars.
The holidays are very important to the Kardashian-Jenner family as nearly all of them claim that Christmas is their favorite holiday. Though the Kardashians are known for their over-the-top celebrations, their Christmas celebration is always the largest and most important. For years, the “momager” and matriarch, Kris Jenner was in charge of putting it on and it was usually held at her home on Christmas Eve. However, fans saw as Kris tearfully passed the baton to her daughter, Kim Kardashian West in 2018 when she held a $1.3 million party at the West’s home. This past Christmas, Kourtney was the one to host the festive star-studded event.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans saw the extravagant decorations from the Kardashian family’s Instagram Stories and posts. According to People, it is not cheap to throw a holiday party up to the Kardashian-Jenner standards. This year, the eldest daughter, Kourtney took over the planning for the magical evening. She transformed her home into a holiday wonderland. Some of the famous faces included Sia, Travis Scott, Quavo, Elon Musk, and Grimes. Though Kourtney’s Christmas party was considered on the low end, hers was estimated at around $436,300 for the evening, according to an expert. It’s likely that the party was orchestrated by event planner Mindy Weiss and floral designer Jeff Leatham, as they are the go-to Kardashian party people. Next, there is the upside-down Christmas tree that hung from roots in Kourtney’s double-height foyer which could have set her back at least $1,300. That’s not including all of the beautiful decor that was set up outside. The custom tent alone could be upwards of $50,00, the fifteen crystal chandeliers and lighting had an estimated price tag of $25,000. With the forest of evergreen trees of at least 50 firs, that’s around $15,000 for the trees and lights. Then, there were the live-action entertainment such as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Elf on the Shelf, Toy Soldiers, and roaming caroler which cost around $10,000.Then there are the tables and the table settings which cost around $68,000 due to the crystal candelabras. Not to mention, it would have cost a minimum of $40,000 for catering for the number of guests. However, the biggest expense of the night would have been the event planner’s bill, which cost around $100,000.
The nearly half-million-dollar soirée that Kourtney put on for the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family and family friends blew everyone away with the woodsy, chic, and cozy vibe. Now fans can assume that if the pattern is correct and each Keeping Up with the Kardashians sister is taking turns hosting the event, the next in line will either be Kylie Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, or Kendall Jenner.
