Knives Out passes another box office milestone even though it’s currently available on Digital. The latest movie from writer/director Rian Johnson hit theaters last November, quickly becoming a breakout hit over the Thanksgiving frame. Bolstered by positive reviews and enthusiastic word-of-mouth, Knives Out exceeded commercial estimates and posted $41.4 million domestically during the 5-day holiday weekend, paving the way for a followup starring Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc to get the green light. Knives Out was also a pleasant surprise on the awards circuit, landing an Oscar nomination in the Best Original Screenplay category.

Knives Out star Noah Segan took to Twitter today to celebrate the film hitting the $300 million mark at the global box office. He posted a picture of himself, Craig, and co-star Lakeith Stanfield smiling and laughing on set to illustrate his feelings about the news. Take a look at the tweet in the space below:

These days, it’s difficult for moderately budgeted original films to make a dent at the box office, but Knives Out came out of the gates fast and had very strong legs over the course of its run. It was able to hold its own during a competitive holiday season that also featured high-profile sequels like Frozen II and Jumanji: The Next Level. But with the film now on home media (and the Blu-ray releasing in a couple of weeks), it’d be reasonable to assume that it was done making headlines for its commercial prowess. However, nearly three months after its premiere, Knives Out remains a solid draw and hit one more milestone before it bows out of theaters.

Knives Out’s synopsis reads: The circumstances surrounding the death of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey are mysterious, but there’s one thing that renowned Detective Benoit Blanc knows for sure—everyone in the wildly dysfunctional Thrombey family is a suspect. Now, Blanc must sift through a web of lies and red herrings to uncover the truth. From acclaimed writer-director Rian Johnson comes this suspenseful, twist-filled whodunnit with an all-star ensemble cast including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Michael Shannon, Jaeden Martell, and more.
