Star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian is suing a vampire facial doctor for copyright infringement. The fashion and beauty icon has had enough of her name being used for a product she has not endorsed.

Since Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired in 2007, Kim was shot into stardom and has been entertaining the reality TV audiences ever since. The beauty mogul married rapper Kanye West in 2014. The two currently have four children together. Kim has branched out in her many business ventures. The fashion icon launched her shapewear collection, Skims. Part of Kim’s appeal is that she’s always been very open and honest to her following about her own products and which products she chooses to endorse.

According to Us Weekly, Kardashian’s face and name are being used by Alabama doctor, Charles Runels to promote his business, Cellular Medicine Association. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is suing the doctor for using her likeness for his advertisement. In a 2013 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the mother famously got the vampire facial done to enhance her beauty. The procedure takes the patient’s own blood after being drawn then the doctor uses a microneedle to puncture the facial tissue. By doing this, the needle isolates growth factors back into the skin which is supposed to help tighten the skin and collagen in the facial region.

Even though Kim showed off the unusual facial to her followers on social media, she since revealed that she regretted having the procedure done, and now that the doctor is using her likeness to promote his product, she’s taking legal action against the southern doctor. The reality TV star filed a complaint on December 10th, sighting infringement of registered mark, copyright infringement, false association, violation of the right of publicity and California common law trademark infringement. The doctor stated that neither Kim nor Kourtney Kardashian ever licensed their name in connection with the procedure. The court documents also showed that Kardashian was upset to find her name and pictures all over the doctor’s website. The more worrying news was some patients of the doctor had contracted HIV from the technique.

According to the source Kardashian tried to reach out to Runels, asking him to stop using her likeness but the doctor refused and demanded that she pay him. Even back in 2013 when the reality star originally got the facial done,  fans were not impressed by her new look, calling her a nut job. Kardashian also stated she would never go through the in-patient treatment again. Fans will have to keep on eye on social media and the news to see how to situation plays out.
