On this week’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian called Kourtney Kardashian “actually insane” for wanting to throw Candyland themed party for their daughter with only sugar-free candy. Although the sisters agreed on a theme, it’s the execution and their differences in lifestyles that caused all the problems.

It seems that the famous sisters’ equally famous young daughters, North West and Penelope Disick, were set to celebrate their birthdays together. This year, Kim and Kourtney decided the girls would have a Candyland-themed party. However, Kourtney was under the impression that they would find healthy alternatives to the confections and goodies that come with such an affair. Kim, on the other hand, felt that her sister’s reluctance to fully embrace the theme was ridiculous. With both mothers at a stalemate, they each attempted to enlist their sister, Khloé Kardashian, into the argument.

Kim whispered to Khloe over the phone while out with Kourtney, “She is insane. She is actually insane.” She continued, “She just said that he wants to have a Candyland-themed party but can’t have any candy. I don’t even know what to do. She just is so not my vibe.” Little did Kim know that at the same time, Kourtney was attempting to contact Khloé herself, she said, “Kim and I have been fighting again today.” She continued, “It’s about her and the kids’ birthday party. I’m not like, dying to do a candy-filled party, just full of junk.” Watch the disagreement unfold in the video below:

Much of Khloé’s reluctance to get dragged into the argument stems from herprevious attempts at mediation within the family - when they claimed that she was getting involved where she didn’t belong. Fans of the show may remember Kourtney and Kendall’s ongoing disagreement over social etiquette during their trip to Mammoth in season 16. Both sisters accused Khloé of meddling by acting as an intermediary. Another reason for the family discord is Kourtney’s strict all-natural lifestyle. The eldest sister observes a gluten-free, organic diet. She’s also strived to bring up her three children in the same way. By contrast, Kim and her siblings have been less stringent about the foods they allow their kids.

At the end of the day, the sisters should bear in mind that the party is for their children - not them. If Kourtney wants to rear her kids in a certain lifestyle - that’s fine. However, she needs to accept other people’s governance over their own children. If most parents don’t mind their kids having sugary treats, then so be it. However, it seems that Kourtney is also trying to maintain a healthy image to help reflect her new lifestyle and health brand, Poosh, which doesn’t seem to mesh with Kim’s vibe at all. It remains to be seen how these two opinionated women will compromise for the sake of their daughters’ dream Candyland themed party.
