Khloé Kardashian, of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, won’t be wooed by Tristan Thompson’s lavish gifts. Although the star expressed conflicting feelings toward her ex on Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she also made it clear that she wasn’t willing to jump back into a relationship with Thompson, no matter how much jewelry he gives her.
Kardashian and Thompson first started dating in 2016. By December of the following year, the couple was expecting a daughter together. Just days before Khloé gave birth, however, video footage emerged of Thompson cheating on her when she was just three months pregnant. Although it rocked their relationship, Khloé forgave her cheating ex and the pair went on to raise their daughter, True, together. In early 2019, their relationship hit another roadblock. Thompson was accused of cheating again, this time with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods. Tired of his antics and unable to accept his behavior any longer, Khloé ended her relationship with the NBA player. Since then, Khloé has been focused on co-parenting their daughter, but it looks like Tristan isn’t ready to give up on their relationship just yet.
On Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, fans got a behind-the-scenes look at the events surrounding Khloé’s birthday in June. The star started by admitting that Tristan wanted to get back together, even though Khloé wanted to focus all their energy toward co-parenting. “Lately Tristan has been telling me he’s sorry and that he loves and appreciates me,” she said. “But right now, the most I can handle is co-parenting.” However, her desire to keep things focused on True didn’t deter Tristan. During a trip to Connecticut, Khloé discovered a diamond necklace from her cheating ex in her room. Shocked by the gesture, Khloé called Tristan to say thank you, and simultaneously questioned whether she should keep the gift. “It’s the sweetest, kindest gesture, but it doesn’t mean a necklace is going to fix everything,” Khloé said.
However, the extravagant gifts didn’t stop there. Later on in the episode, Tristan gave Khloé a pink diamond ring. While recounting the moment to Scott Disick, Khloé explained that the ring came along with a sweet card, and that she originally said no to the gift. After Disick commented saying the rock looked like an engagement ring, Khloé clarified that Tristan said it was a promise ring. “I was like, I really appreciate it, but I don’t think I can accept it,” Khloé said. The youngest Kardashian sister later said in an interview that there was “nothing romantic” going on between her and Tristan.
Although Khloé appears to be confident in her decision regarding Tristan, her actions speak otherwise. While telling Disick about the ring, she supposedly said she couldn’t accept, but was wearing the ring on her hand. She was obviously moved by his kind gestures, especially the inclusion of a romantic card with her extravagant gift. While Khloé has maintained that she and Tristian are friendly, though not back together, his flirty behavior with her hasn’t slowed down in the months since this episode was filmed. As loyal fans who have watched all the drama unfold, we can only hope that Khloé will stay strong in her decision and refuse to take her cheating ex back once again.
