Khloé Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend rapper French Montana said in a recent interview that he’s still friends with the reality TV star and that the love they had was “real.” He remains close to her and the whole Kardashian family.
Montana and Khloé dated for less than a year in 2014. He appeared briefly on the star’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, following her split from ex-husband Lamar Odom. The two had a strong relationship, with Montana remaining loyal to Khloé. Both Odom and Khloé’s ex, Tristan Thompson, have cheated on her. As a result, the couple had an amicable breakup, with a source close to Khloé saying the star just wanted to move on, that she still thought Montana was a great guy, and that things just weren’t working out between them. Fans knew Montana and Khloé remained close, as he’s been spotted hanging out with the family over the past few years. Most recently, he appeared on Scott Disick’s spinoff Flip It Like Disick, on which Khloé also makes a cameo.
In an interview with Haute Living, Montana said he and Khloé were “always going to be friends” and that he remains close to her family, too. He was recently spotted celebrating Khloé’s sister Kourtney’s birthday on Instagram. In the picture he shared, Khloé is barely visible in the background, but the two were hanging out in a group together that night. Montana added that the “love was real” between him and Khloé, and that they didn’t have any “bad blood” or go through anything from which they couldn’t bounce back. Because of that, the former couple has been able to remain good friends following their split.
While Montana admitted that maintaining a friendship after a breakup is “real hard,” he’s glad he and Khloé have been able to do it. Unfortunately, Khloé has a more tenuous relationship with her other ex, Thompson, who cheated on her with a family friend, Jordyn Woods. Khloé moved her things out of their Cleveland home following the cheating scandal, and they haven’t been on good terms since. At least she had the support of family and friends like Montana while she was going through that difficult and painful time in her life. Since her breakup with Thompson, Khloé hasn’t been spotted out with anyone new.
For now, it looks like Khloé is sticking to the single mom life, as she raises her one-year-old daughter True, whom she shares with Thompson. Meanwhile, Montana is working on his still-untitled 2019 album, to be released later this year. But it’s anyone’s guess, now that Khloé is single again - maybe she and Montana will rekindle their romance.
