Justin Trudeau loves Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Trudeau is first and foremost a Canadian politician and the Prime Minister of the country. He has also starred in the biography The Great War and voiced himself on the animated series Corner Gas Animated.
The Rise of Skywalker is of course the final film in Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy. The film has yet to be seen by the general public, but early reviews for The Rise of Skywalker have been mostly positive. Most people agree that the film packs in a lot of content into its two 2 hour and 21 minute runtime while answering a lot of questions fans have about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Others call it an emotional ride that has a satisfying end to the sequel trilogy. Now Trudeau has shared his opinion of the film.
Trudeau shared on Twitter his reaction to seeing a sneak preview of The Rise of Skywalker and claimed that he loved the film. A few images of Trudeau with fans from Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario can be seen in his tweet below.
Outside of Trudeau, The Rise of Skywalker is getting mixed reviews thus far, proving to be divisive like the other films in Disney’s sequel trilogy. Many people criticized 2015’s The Force Awakens of basically being a reboot of A New Hope, but to be fair to critics; there were a lot of similarities between the two films. The second film in the sequel trilogy, however, proved to be the most divisive Star Wars film in the entire franchise. Many people loved Rian Johnson’s addition to the Star Wars franchise, while others hated it so much that they called for The Last Jedi to be removed from canon. George Lucas himself has even admitted he was disappointed with the way Disney handled the sequel trilogy.
No matter how The Rise of Skywalker ends up doing with fans and critics, it is sure to make Disney a lot of money. It is also likely to be a one of a kind moviegoing experience. Not only is The Rise of Skywalker the end of the sequel trilogy, but it is also the final film in the Skywalker saga, meaning it is the conclusion of a storyline that has been in the making for over 40 years. All Star Wars fans are hoping that The Rise of Skywalker will live up to the hype, and fans don’t have to wait that much longer to find out for themselves.
