The DC Cinematic Universe (or the DCEU) is one of the most popular cinematic universes out there right now, along with the Harry Potter universe, which ended after its final book was adapted into a movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2.

The DCEU had a rocky start, which moved a lot of fans to follow the TV shows based on DC characters. However, future DC films look more promising. Let’s take a look at which Hogwarts houses the Justice League would be sorted into if the two universes were to collide.

Batman- Slytherin

Probably the toughest and darkest of all the Justice League members, Bruce Wayne earns his house in Slytherin. Wayne values hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty, and has extreme fighting abilities and resourcefulness. He owns a great fortune, inherited by his parents, so the sorting hat would place him in Slytherin, perfectly aware of the dark personality he formed due to his parent’s death.

Bruce Wayne has proven his leadership and key-decision making skills multiple times but is certainly willing to “do anything to get his way,” a key factor in Slytherin’s capabilities and characteristics. Batman, therefore, would join the house of the Malfoy family and even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named himself.

Superman- Gryffindor

On the other side of the coin, Clark Kent is brave, courageous, has nerve, and is incredibly loyal to his league and people.

Despite valuing the execution of justice at all points, removing obstacles obstructing justice, while maintaining the limit, Superman does tend to have sudden episodes that completely change his decision-making and judgment in general. This just so happens to be a common trait among Gryffindor, earning his rightful place in Harry Potter and the Weasley’s house. Superman heads the Justice League and gives the idea of its birth due to his short-lived death.

Wonder Woman- Hufflepuff

She knows the knowledge of things unknown to most men, another trait found in Hufflepuff members. Wonder Woman really proved her worth by essentially defeating gods in her solo movie and even Steppenwolf in Justice League.

Flash- Ravenclaw

Barry Allen is the Spider-Man of the DCEU. Funny, smart, a teenager and both have parent issues. But The Flash is clever, wise, and eager to learn, thus being the reason he joined the League in the first place. He was eager to learn from Batman and the experienced superheroes while bringing his charm and humor into the series.

He is seen as competitive, a common flaw among Ravenclaws. He also lives alone, thus being the reason he is seen as weird from the perspective of other people. Faster than a speeding bullet, the Flash ran just fast enough to get him placed into Ravenclaw.

Aquaman- Gryffindor

He’s the boldest and most chivalrous of the League, yet is incredibly reckless, arrogant and plain rude at times. Justified by his hard childhood and the shunning away from his people, Aquaman knows what is good for him and stays well within his limits, unless he’s sitting on the lasso of truth that is.

Regardless Arthur Curry earns his spot amongst the Weasley Family and Harry himself.

Cyborg- Gryffindor

Cyborg is the secret and probably the most powerful weapon of the league. He was a boy who died in a car crash, only to be resurrected by one of the mother boxes. He went on to be the only one strong enough to separate them and still get out alive. He’s also quite bold, chivalrous, and sometimes very arrogant.

However, that’s justified, given the fact that he isn’t even supposed to be alive. Therefore, Victor Stone earns his place in Gryffindor alongside Superman and Aquaman. He clearly deserves his spot and contains all necessary traits for the sorting hat to place him in the house of Harry, Hermionie, and Ron.

Lois Lane-  Ravenclaw

Lois Lane is clever, eager to learn and is sometimes seen as too weird, that’s perfect for Ravenclaw! The love interest of Superman has dabbled her way into quite a lot of things in the world of journalism leading her to be viewed as weird or quite odd in the cinematic universe.

This alone makes her perfect for the place in Ravenclaw. She’ll fit in and be best friends, either with Barry Allen or Luna Lovegood. Hopefully, she isn’t seen as weird as she is now.

Alfred-Hufflepuff

Alfred is loyal to his master (Batman) and has a “sense of fair play.” He’s kind, hard-working, and an overall good guy. This fits him perfectly with Cedric Diggory (who is ironically now Batman) and Nymphadora Tonks.

Alfred is perfect in Hufflepuff, who is now, contrary to Hagrid’s belief, not “a bunch of old’ duffers.” With Alfred on their side, aiding Hufflepuffs with his wisdom and his resources, he’d give Gryffindors a run for their money.

Steppenwolf- Slytherin

It’s an obvious choice. Steppenwolf has bloodlust, yearns for power, values his pure-blood, and wants power over all other things.

He’s definitely in Slytherin alongside Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, and in this case, Batman. Steppenwolf played by legendary actor Ciaran Hinds, belongs in the darkest possible house, and the sorting hat would not have to think twice.

Martha Kent- Hufflepuff

Martha Kent is the adopted mother of Clark Kent and with her son being literally an alien, yet one of the most powerful beings in the universe, she earns her place in Hufflepuff. She’s sweet, kind and caring for almost everyone she meets. The Sorting Hat wouldn’t think quite a lot before placing her in Hufflepuff.

Her traits bear a great resemblance to the common traits found among members of the Ravenclaw house and having the Fat Friar as their ghost and Rowena Ravenclaw as their founder, maybe she’ll find the lost diadem before Harry, just wait and see…
