How to fix Just Cause 4 common errors?
Just cause 4 has much fewer frame drops and better gameplay interface than Just Cause 3. But it is obviously not free of errors. Your PC can have all the required configuration, and still, you might encounter errors. But do check out whether or not you have the minimum requirements for the game before going any further into the article. Here we have discussed all the commonly occurring errors that users have, and the chances are that your issue is also listed here.
Crash On Startup:
If you are experiencing crashes in startups, then your Windows Defender or Antivirus could be the cause behind it. So You can try turning off your antivirus protection during the gameplay, and turn it on again after your session is over. Another thing that you can try if this does not work is to try disabling 3rd party applications built into your system by your Manufacturer. ROG, Legion, MSI, and other gaming-centric brands like this integrate their own monitoring applications like the MSI Afterburn. You can just uninstall these monitoring applications completely as they are the cause behind many game crashes other than just Just Cause 4.
No Sound in gameplay:
This is actually a very common error, and many have reported about it. There is an easy fix to it, though. Just go into the sound settings. Here select the “Playback” option and from the list that shows up, choose your default audio device. Now click on the “Configure” button and choose the appropriate channel for your selected audio device. Continue on with the setup Go to “Playback” in Sounds and select your active audio device. Now click on “Configure,” and you will be presented with a set of options. Select the right channel for your audio device and go with the setup, and this should resolve the problem.
If this does not work for you, then try running your JustCause4.exe file as an administrator. For this head over to the folder where the game is saved during the installation, right-click on the JustCause4.exe file and select run as administrator. You will have to this every time you open up the game. There is a workaround for it, though. You can set it to run as administrator by default. For that right-click on JustCasue4.exe > properties > click on compatibility tab > check “Run this program as an administrator”> click on Apply and then Ok.
Black Screen Fix:
This happens in a lot of games, and the fix is actually universal and works on other games as well. When your screen goes black, just press and hold Alt+Enter buttons. This will trim down your fullscreen game into a windowed mode game. Now go into Just Cause’s video settings inside the game and set the resolution of the game to the resolution of your native monitor screen. Press Alt+ Enter again if you are still in window mode after changing the resolution. The game will open up on the full screen, and it won’t be stuck at a black screen anymore.
Low FPS, Lagging:
To increase the FPS of Just Cause 4, first install the latest graphics drivers onto your system. You can download it from your GPU manufacturers’ official website.
This is also easily fixable if you own an NVIDIA GTX 10 series GPU. Just Open NVIDIA control panel > select Manage 3d settings > select Program settings > Select Just Cause 4 > set Vertical Sync to Fast. This should definitely do the trick for you.
Random Crash:

Then try running your JustCause4.exe file as an administrator. For this head over to the folder where the game is saved during the installation, right-click on the JustCause4.exe file and select run as administrator. You will have to this every time you open up the game.
If none of these three tricks work, then try disabling Steam Cloud Synchronization. For that, Open Steam library > Right-Click on Just Cause 4 > Select Properties > Click on updates> click on steam cloud uncheck.
