Jump Force has dozens of characters from the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan, and more are going to be added in upcoming DLC - but which DLC characters should release? Weekly Shonen Jump has been home to some of the most popular manga series of all time, including Bleach, Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Naruto, and One Piece. Because of that, the roster of characters in Jump Force is huge, with a selection of 42 playable heroes and villains, as well as the ability to make a custom character of your own design.
At some point, nine DLC characters will be released as part of a season pass, who can also be purchased separately after they are made available. There are a lot of possible characters that could make it into Jump Force as DLC, with several popular characters from famous series being notably absent.
There are also prominent Weekly Shonen Jump series that have since finished that have no representation in the game, as well as characters from new series that are rising in popularity that could use the promotion of appearing alongside the likes of Goku, Luffy, and Naruto. Since there are plenty of characters who were absent at launch, here’s who should appear in DLC.

10. Itachi Uchiha (Naruto)
Itachi Uchiha was a prominent antagonist in Naruto during the first half of the series, where he was believed to have slain the entire Uchiha clan and defected from Konoha in order to join Akatsuki. The truth behind Itachi’s motivations became a major part of the second half of Naruto, where it was revealed that there was more to Itachi’s actions than anyone had ever realized.
Sasuke Uchiha (Itachi’s brother) is already in Jump Force, but there are enough differences in the abilities and jutsu used by both characters to differentiate them from each other. Itachi relied on illusions and long-range attacks, while Sasuke preferred to use melee weapons and short-range techniques. Itachi was one of the most popular characters in Naruto, even before it was revealed that he was secretly a good guy all along, so he seems like a natural fit for a DLC character in Jump Force.
9. Gohan (Dragon Ball)
Gohan might be the most conspicuously absent character in Jump Force, as he was briefly the protagonist of Dragon Ball and has always been one of the most popular characters in the series. If there was any safe bet on a character who will be added to Jump Force, then it would have to be on Gohan.
The real question is which form of Gohan would appear? The two most likely answers are the teenage version of Gohan that defeated Perfect Cell by achieving the Super Saiyan 2 form, while the other choice would be the older Gohan who had his potential unlocked by the Old Kai during the Buu Saga. We likely won’t be seeing any version of Gohan from Dragon Ball Super, due to his diminished role in that series, with the possible exception of his horrible green tracksuit being an extra costume.
8. Koro-Sensei (Assassination Classroom)
Assassination Classroom had one of the most peculiar premises of any series to ever appear in Weekly Shonen Jump - an alien (who is given the name Koro-Sensei) destroys 70% of the moon and tells the authorities of Earth that they have a year in which to destroy him, otherwise he will destroy the Earth. Koro-Sensei gets a job as a teacher and his students are tasked with trying to take his life. The students’ mission becomes difficult, as they grow to genuinely care for Koro-Sensei and his lessons.
Assassination Classroom has finished, but the series is still beloved by those who read it or saw the anime and Koro-Sensei would be a popular choice to appear in Jump Force. Koro-Sensei was an incredibly powerful being with the capacity to move at Mach 20 speed and the ability fire energy beams from his body, which would let him fit right in with most of the cast of Jump Force.
7. Kinnikuman (Kinnikuman)
Kinnikuman was one of the most popular Weekly Shonen Jump series of the ’80s. It started out as a parody of Ultraman, before evolving into a pro-wrestling battle manga involving gimmick characters fighting each other in the ring.
The sequel series to Kinnikuman became popular outside of Japan in the ’00s, where it was known as Ultimate Muscle. The original Kinnikuman is still more popular than its sequel, so we aren’t likely to see Kid Muscle appearing in the game over Kinnikuman himself. Kinnikuman would likely use a range of professional wrestling moves in battle, as well as his own range of personal finishing moves, such as the Kinniku Buster and the Muscle Spark.
6. Raoh (Fist of the North Star)
Jump Force includes Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star, which is due to how that popular that series was in the days before Dragon Ball. Kenshiro was always guaranteed a place in Jump Force, but it’s surprising that we haven’t seen any of his villains.
Kenshiro had several prominent villains in Fist of the North Star, but the two most popular were Raoh and Shin. The reason we’re choosing Raoh over Shin is due to the fact that thousands of people attended a real-life funeral that was held for Raoh in Japan, which just goes to show how much of a beloved character he was.
Raoh is a master of Hokuto Shinken, which is the same martial arts style used by Kenshiro. The two of them had one of the most epic battles in the history of anime & manga and it seems almost certain that they will resume their conflict in Jump Force.

5. Orochimaru (Naruto)
The characters from Naruto who are appearing in Jump Force are sorely lacking in villain representation, with Kaguya Otsutsuki being the only true antagonist of the group. Kaguya is also a divisive figure among the fanbase, due to how late she shows up in the story and how quickly she is defeated. All of the members of Akatsuki would make for great characters in Jump Force, but if there was one villain slot that should go to a Naruto villain, it should be Orochimaru.
Orochimaru served as the main antagonist throughout the first half of the story of Naruto, where he tempted Sasuke to the dark side in order to try and steal his body. Orochimaru possesses a number of snake-based techniques, including the ability to summon a giant serpent in battle, as well as being an able swordfighter and possessing a range of dangerous jutsu that could be used at both short and long range.
4. Senku (Dr. Stone)
Dr. Stone is one of the best new series in Weekly Shonen Jump, but it has yet to find a mainstream audience due to how it hasn’t been adapted into an anime. The story of Dr. Stone involves the population of Earth being turned to stone by a mysterious flash of light. A young scientist named Senku is one of the few people to break free of his petrification, but it takes several thousand years to do so.
It’s up to Senku to restore modern society while only having access to caveman tools, while another faction led by warriors opposes his plan, as they want to create a society where only the strong may rule over others. Dr. Stone is due to receive an anime in July, so it would make sense for Senku to be a DLC character in Jump Force around that time. Senku could fight using a mixture of gadgets and traps, rather than being a physical warrior like the other characters in the game.
3. Admiral Akainu (One Piece)
One Piece is the best-selling manga of all time and has eclipsed Dragon Ball in popularity, which means that we will almost certainly see a One Piece representative in the DLC for Jump Force. It’s tempting to say that another member of the Straw Hat Pirates would be added to Jump Force, but there is only one villain representative from One Piece in the game in the form of Blackbeard, which means they may add another.
Admiral Akainu might be the most hated antagonist in One Piece, due to how he slew Luffy’s brother during the Paramount War Arc. Akainu has the ability to create and transform into magma, which gives him a devastating range of moves by default, as he can fire bolts of lava at the enemy or run his hand through their chest, just like he did to Ace.
2. Seto Kaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Jump Force has a Yu-Gi-Oh! representative in the form of Yugi Muto, who summons Duel Monsters to fight in his place. Yugi can call on the help of the likes of the Dark Magician and Slifer the Sky Dragon to aid him in battle. It’s odd to see Yugi Muto in a game where he cannot be challenged his rival - Seto Kaiba.
Seto Kaiba was one of the most popular characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and manga. Kaiba was able to become one of the greatest Duel Monsters players of all time and he didn’t need the help of any magical artifacts to do so, unlike Marik, Pegasus, or Yugi.
Jump Force has already established that a Duel Monsters player can be a viable character, which means that there is nothing stopping them from adding Seto Kaiba and allowing him to summon his Blue-Eyes White Dragons and Obelisk the Tormentor as part of his repertoire of attacks.
1. Jiren (Dragon Ball Super)
Jiren has technically never appeared in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, but he has appeared in V-Jump magazine, which runs the monthly Dragon Ball Super manga series and is owned by the same company, so he still meets the criteria to appear in Jump Force.
There isn’t much in the way of Dragon Ball Super representation in Jump Force outside of transformations and if any character that is unique to Dragon Ball Super is going to make it in, it’s Jiren. Jiren is an incredibly powerful alien warrior from Universe 11, who took on some of the most powerful characters in the series during the Tournament of Power Saga. If any new Dragon Ball character is going to make it into Jump Force, then it will most likely be Jiren.
