UPDATE: Lauren Dern humorously responded to Goldblum’s tweet. - Original Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill and Laura Dern reunited in a photo recently, and their co-star Jeff Goldblum was quick to comment. The three actors starred together in the Steven Spielberg film, and they have continued to make appearances sporadically throughout the franchise, from the film’s first sequel to the most recent Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. In the original Jurassic Park, Neill and Dern starred as paleontologist Allen Grant and paleobotanist Ellie Sattler, respectively....

The latest data from Kantar Worldpanel shows that iOS market share is just outgrowing Android across the five largest markets in Europe, growing 1.5% year-on-year against Android’s 1.4%, but dropping 3.3% in the USA. iOS market share now stands at 32.6% in the USA and 15.4% across the top 5 European markets … It’s worth repeating our usual disclaimer here: Apple has never chased absolute market share–which includes a huge range of low-end Android handsets–instead focusing only on the smaller market for premium devices....

In a new report out by KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo, the group believes that Apple has a significant lead on Qualcomm in the 3D sensing technology space. KGI reports that Qualcomm won’t be making significant shipments until at least 2019. Kuo iterates in the report that Qualcomm is immature in both software and hardware fields to properly produce significant shipping products. This immaturity will help contribute to a delay in Android products receiving 3D sensing technology....

It’s iPhone X review day and KGI is out with a new report on what to expect from next year’s iPhone update. Specifically, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has issued a new report on the possibility of new iPhones next year gaining TrueDepth Cameras with 3D sensing on the backside like the front cameras on the new iPhone X. Apple’s new TrueDepth Camera enables features like Face ID for unlocking your iPhone X with facial recognition as well as Animoji for creating animated emoji characters with face tracking....

The new whodunnit film Knives Out, Rian Johnson’s first post-Star Wars movie, is receiving great reviews. Written and directed by Johnson, Knives Out is a murder mystery full of star cast members, lighthearted humor and nods to the great murder mystery authors Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. The plot of Knives Out revolves around the mysterious murder of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) who was found dead at his home on his 85th birthday....

U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh today decided to stop a group lawsuit against Apple over undelivered text messages caused by an iMessage bug, Bloomberg reports. The issue drew a lot of attention last year when the bug with Apple’s messaging system caused former iPhone users that switched to Android to discover text messages were not being properly delivered to their phone number. In dismissing the lawsuit, Judge Koh explained that while Apple’s iMessage system may have resulted in lost text messages, their was inadequate evidence that the group faced a “contractual breach or interference” from iMessage…...

Most of us look back on the original Jumanji film with nostalgic joy. It’s just a fun movie starring one of the best actors of all time, Robin Williams, along with a stellar supporting cast.
